Biography
Sara Hoffman
has
always been a writer. From her earliest attempts on wide-ruled
paper bound with staples, to her latest project, the historical
fiction novel “Finding Baby Ruth,” she has had an affinity for
words. She is a member of the Northern Colorado Writer’s
Association, the Colorado Press Women’s Association and the Slow
Sand Writers Society. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism
from the University of Northern Colorado and a master’s degree
in journalism from the University of Colorado. She taught
journalism and continuing education writing classes for 20 years
at Colorado State University, and has worked as a daily newspaper
editor, reporter and columnist. She works with “Read-On Fort
Collins,” which promotes community book reading.
She wrote a monthly
column for The
Coloradoan newspaper. She and her husband have three children
and live in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Coloradoan newspaper for about three years, ending in April
2007. Her column won awards from the Colorado Press Women
Association.
