Biography

Sara Hoffman has always been a writer. From her earliest attempts on wide-ruled paper bound with staples, to her latest project, the historical fiction novel “Finding Baby Ruth,” she has had an affinity for words. She is a member of the Northern Colorado Writer’s Association, the Colorado Press Women’s Association and the Slow Sand Writers Society. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Northern Colorado and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado. She taught journalism and continuing education writing classes for 20 years at Colorado State University, and has worked as a daily newspaper editor, reporter and columnist. She works with “Read-On Fort Collins,” which promotes community book reading. 
She wrote a monthly column for The Coloradoan newspaper. She and her husband have three children and live in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Publications

Sara Hoffman wrote a monthly opinion column for The Coloradoan newspaper for about three years, ending in April 2007. Her column won awards from the Colorado Press Women Association.
